We adhere to a policy of continuous testing for consistency of granule size, wear resistance, UV stability and colour fastness.

Consistent physical properties are essential to ensure that our uncompromisingly high standards are maintained and we are happy to provide specific reports on product performance.

When manufacturing the EPDM rubber, the colour, hardness and specific gravity are checked to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications as each batch is produced.

When the finished EPDM rubber is granulated, testing begins again where both colour consistency and adherence to size specifications are checked.

The above procedures are supported by the on-site laboratory facilities, testing such properties as, tensile strength, breaking strain and wear resistance.

To ensure BRG granules withstand the effects of the climatic conditions, they are subjected to extremes of sun and rain, simulated in our on site accelerated weathering tester.

Our material complies with IAAF, STC and ASBA guidelines / requirements. Products are regularly subjected to comprehensive testing and are approved by:

• IST - Germany
• OIST - Austria
• Labosport – France

Note:

Polyurethane binders need to be selected for both UV Resistance and EPDM Compatibility.

In areas of very high UV the resistance can be improved by the selection of a High Performance Binder.
